Why Hire Cameron?
You NEED An Attorney That Is ExperiencedDependableHonestKnowledgeableHERE FOR YOU!
Cameron is a retired scientist and former Missouri Department of Revenue attorney who believes that the Constitution is not just a document. The rights of all citizens must be protected vigorously. Those charged with crimes are in immediate need of that protection, and are innocent until proven guilty.
His experience at the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) in the area of DUI law is hard to match as very few former Missouri DOR attorneys practice criminal defense.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable search and seizures, shall not be violated.”
– United States Constitution – 4th Amendment
The United States’ criminal justice system is adversarial. The prosecution has the goal of convicting citizens of crimes. Cameron stands between that system and the accused. Cameron brings a passion for examining detail and to bear on all cases, and does not believe in taking the easy way out and merely holding a client’s hand while they plead guilty. All cases are thoroughly examined before any pleas or trials.

Frequently Asked Questions
That depends. Cameron always tries to give you predictability in your legal fees, which often translates into “flat fee” rates for you. That way, you know what the cost will be up front, as long as you work actively to complete your case.
That is hard to predict, and Cameron cannot promise or predict any outcomes. Some low-risk cases are easier to say what will happen. For more serious matters, that gets harder to predict very quickly. Among the things that we cannot control are, in no particular order: the facts of the case, what the public or victim “input” might be, what the prosecutor will want to do, what the judge will ultimately decide. Cameron always seeks the best outcomes for his clients.
While there are some cases that take a while and others that resolve themselves very quickly, it can be very, very hard to predict this time that a case will take. These are some factors that can be in play, though they are rarely all present at the same time: The seriousness of the charges, the statutory or legal “constraints” (like mandatory time limits) the type of case, experience of the prosecutor or judge, and yes, even the time of the year. After a full case investigation is complete, then it is easier to know when a case will be resolved and how (by a plea agreement or trial, for instance). Frequently, there will be at least some control that the client and attorney can exert in the case. Time is sometimes a “friend” in criminal defense.
Yes. These cases require a judge to find that you are, in essence, ready to drive again. These cases are started by filing a petition in court (essentially suing the Missouri Department of Revenue), and they have the right to up to 30 days before their legal response. Then, the case is set for a hearing, where myself, yourself, and the Department of Revenue attorney will be present, not to mention the judge.
Possibly. If the convictions are not much more than two years old, and probably have a good shot at getting those “set aside” by an attorney such as Cameron. This is basically a “do over”, where he can try to get the points removed. The ability to do this varies by the court where you were convicted, because there will be a judge, prosecutor, and potentially others who may not want to see this happen. Nevertheless, Cameron is very happy to make the attempt to do now what was not done when the case was new.
